Principal's Message

I am honored to join the Irving Elementary team as their new principal. Along with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, I've completed a graduate program in Educational Leadership in 2014. For the last 8 years I worked at Pershing as their social worker and more recently their assistant principal.   I was born and raised in Elgin, IL and was influenced greatly by a mother who taught school for 40 years, and a father who helped so many during his career as a social worker. As Irving’s principal, I am here to serve the needs of our students, staff, and families. I will ensure that our children receive quality education.

Assistant Principal's Message
I am excited to join the staff of Irving Elementary as the Assistant Principal. Before coming to BSD100, I spent seven years in the classroom, teaching third and fifth grade.  I attended the University of Kansas for undergraduate where I got to experience an NCAA national basketball championship. Rock Chalk Jayhawk! I got my masters in Educational Leadership at National Louis University this past June.  I chose to pursue administration, because I wanted to have an impact on more than the twenty-seven students who were in my class.  I am a student-centered, passionate educator and  believe every child can learn at high levels. I believe my strong work ethic, classroom experience, and personal integrity will be a good fit in the Irving School community.
