Principal's Message

The Irving staff is committed to realize our district’s vision to be in the top 25% of districts in the state of Illinois.  We support our students’ growth through individualized and small group instruction in literacy and math that is responsive to their needs as determined by frequent assessment.  Each of our students is assigned a wireless device to help individualize learning.   Our staff provides additional support to our wide range of learners through several programs that are offered at a school and district level.  I am beyond excited for this school year, please contact me with any questions you might have!

I am honored to serve as Principal of Irving Elementary School. This is my second year at Irving after taking over as Principal in January of last year.  I have been in District 100 for 9 years.  My undergraduate work was completed at Illinois State University and I have my Masters in School Administration/Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University. I am married to my wife Lindsay and we are blessed to have two handsome boys at home, James and Thomas. Having attended Irving as a student it is my great privilege to now serve as Principal, working along side the great staff, students, and parents in the community.

Assistant Principals Message
I am excited to join the staff of Irving Elementary as the Assistant Principal. Before coming to BSD100, I spent seven years in the classroom, teaching third and fifth grade.  I attended the University of Kansas for undergraduate where I got to experience an NCAA national basketball championship. Rock Chalk Jayhawk! I got my masters in Educational Leadership at National Louis University this past June.  I chose to pursue administration, because I wanted to have an impact on more than the twenty-seven students who were in my class.  I am a student-centered, passionate educator and  believe every child can learn at high levels. I believe my strong work ethic, classroom experience, and personal integrity will be a good fit in the Irving School community.
